Who are we?

Dutch Tourism is the authority in the field of domestic tourism and packages. We create domestic tourist packages, teach entrepreneurs to attract more tourists through package development and help organizations convert plans into implementation.

From our office near the Zaanse Schans - one of the tourist attractions in the Netherlands - we work on new arrangements for local authorities, marketing organizations, entrepreneurs in the sector and foreign tour operators. With our work experience of more than 25 years, our colleagues are a point of contact for the various issues that arise in the field of tourism in the Netherlands.

In addition to helping organizations and entrepreneurs further with product development aimed at entertaining tourists in a specific region, we also ensure that this is ensured.

Where normally many initiatives fail in a plan, we ensure that the developed tourist arrangements are also implemented and continue to exist and are further developed.

We work for

We want to work for organizations that are (partly) dependent on the income from tourism in the Netherlands. An example is a hotel chain that wants to welcome guests to the hotel by means of fun and innovative packages and wants to have them stay longer, whereby the guests spend more money.

A second example is a municipality that wants to stimulate the connection between residents, entrepreneurs, the government and education (triple helix), whereby the development of tourist products is central. In this way, the municipality provides an impulse in the field of education and employment and the local economy.

A third example is a marketing organization that wants to bring the region or an area to the attention of potential visitors. Marketing cannot take place without an attractive offer to attract the tourist to the region. This requires a good product that meets the needs of the target group(s) but is above all sustainable. A developed product must have a long shelf life and must therefore be maintained.

We work for various marketing organizations in the Netherlands.

Our approach

We work according to the triple helix model, in which cooperation between the parties involved is central. Synergy effects arise through the mutual cooperation between the stakeholders.

Below are the parties involved with the primary purpose of the party in brackets:

1. Government (exercise of legislative control)
2. Education ('production' of new knowledge)
3. Entrepreneurs (generating economic growth and prosperity)

Phase 1

Our added value is not only in the creation of suitable arrangements but above all in the safeguarding of them. In the first phase, we encourage entrepreneurs and all other parties involved, with a focus on developing new products. In this phase, inventory, connection and development are central. Through our way of working, we establish contact with local entrepreneurs, thereby stimulating the local economy.

Phase 2

In the following phase, we shift the focus to actually selling the arrangements, so that the energy supplied also generates income. This sale takes place via a national platform, which is suitable for this and whereby the entrepreneurs do not have to sacrifice high margins in return.

Phase 3
In the last phase, but perhaps the most important phase, we at Dutch Tourism ensure that the parties involved are able to develop new arrangements themselves and offer them to the customer. This training is done through the Dutch Tourism academy, where we not only provide training but also a further connection between the stakeholders.

Our organization is linked to tourist educators in the Netherlands, such as Hogeschool Inholland Diemen, Regio College Zaanstreek, Media College Purmerend and ROC van Amsterdam.
